Is my child safe? Are my funds safe?

In the wake of the cancellation rush of 2020, families and schools across the country were faced with financial losses in the hundreds of thousands.  Disappointment of cancelled tours was fast followed by frustration at the lack of refunds and next to no transparency around how this even came to be.

In the following months, the School Travel Collective Inc (STC) was formed to help reset and provide confidence in the school travel sector’s financial stability, through the cornerstone of Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ) financial bonding and reporting to ensure security and peace of mind for schools and their communities. Additionally protecting our young women and men through rigorous health and safety, duty of care practices and adopting Ministry of Education (MOE) best practice guidelines. Built of the values of Integrity, Confidence and Cooperation, STC members are working towards ensuring that the financial losses of 2020, and the subsequent industry fall out, doesn’t happen again.  Members commit to behaving in a transparent and ethical way at all times when developing processes and in their communications with schools and parents.  Furthermore, with the full support of organisations like TAANZ, School Sport New Zealand, Education Outdoor New Zealand – you know that you know that by choosing to work with a STC member company, you are choosing security and certainty.

Choir tours are some of our favourite tours to org Choir tours are some of our favourite tours to organise at Tour Time, not least because we get to plan amazing experiences like Fortissimo at Dilworth has just had - a workshop with Paul Mealor (LVO CStJ FRSA FRSE CLJ FLSW), at the King’s Chapel of the Savoy.
