    New Zealand

New Zealand – or Aotearoa in the local Māori language – is perhaps the most beautiful country in the world. We’re slightly biased of course, as it’s where we call home, and where Tour Time all began.

New Zealand attracts travellers from far and wide for it’s unique landscapes, immersive cultural experiences and quirky adrenaline thrills – as well as some of the most friendly, welcoming locals you’ll meet. Whether visiting for a short sojourn or an extended escape, the relatively small size of the country means you can easily fill a tight itinerary with plenty of exhilarating escapades.

Most adventures begin in the largest city of Aotearoa, Auckland, a cosmopolitan hub of restaurants, art galleries, theatre and volcanic islands – the view of which is best captured from atop the southern hemisphere’s tallest building, the Sky Tower. Relive the magic of the The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies by visiting Hobbiton, Wētā Workshop, or some of the many filming locations.

Got more time up your sleeve? Wellington has been voted the world’s most liveable city, oozing Melbourne-like vibes with a feast of cafés, restaurants, theatres and bars. Visit the country’s national musuem Te Papa, and stop by the National Library for a thought-provoking display of the country’s founding document – the Treaty of Waitangi.

Open your mind and learn about the country’s Māori beliefs and rituals at a cultural village, where you can experience the indigenous traditions up close and personal, including a warrior performance and traditional ‘hangi’ feast.

Immerse yourself in adventure and thrills galore on a 100% Pure ‘kiwi experience’ – go jetboating and bungy jumping in Queenstown, or slide down a hill in a giant inflatable ‘Zorb’ ball and experience the sensation of ‘luging’ in Rotorua. The same city offers a geothermal wonderland, full of incredible bubbling natural wonders.

Whether visiting for a short trip or a long while, New Zealand will stay with you, long after you leave.
